You pull out your furnace filter expecting it to be dirty, but instead you find it bowed inward, bent around the edges, or partially collapsed into the filter compartment.

Can a Dirty Furnace Filter Collapse?
Yes. A severely clogged filter can become restrictive enough that the pressure across it causes the filter to bow or even collapse.
